KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- Foreign currency exchange provider, Travelex Malaysia, has opened five ‘retailtainment’ and ‘open concept’ currency exchange stores at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
The stores feature digital and interactive technology to provide a more engaging and fuss-free service to travellers, said Travelex and Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) in a joint statement today.
Travelex is also collaborating with Eraman, MAHB’s duty-free retail arm to offer its customers exciting rewards and greater access to Travelex’s value-added promotions.
Additionally, Eraman general manager Zulhikam Ahmad said Eraman Privilege Card members will be able to enjoy a special rate by showing their membership card.
MAHB’s Commercial Business general manager Hani Ezra Hussin said the launch marked another first for Malaysia Airports as it rolled out its commercial reset initiative.
“From the vibrant set-up to fun additions such as entertaining quizzes, guests will have the chance to win goodies while fulfilling their travel needs.
“This will cater to the needs of our growing number of passengers in KLIA, which grew 2.4 per cent in 2018, and enliven our airport guests’ experience,” she said.
Travelex chairman Tan Sri AP Arumugam said the company designed its stores to provide hassle-free and digital-friendly currency exchange experience to customers.
“Travelex aims to offer more than just currency exchange services to travelers, and our ‘order-online-and-pick-up-in-store’ services bring utmost convenience to travellers,” he added.
