Stop using TROLIGTVIS mug, Ikea tells customers

KUALA LUMPUR: Swedish furniture company, Ikea has urged its customers in Malaysia to stop using TROLIGTVIS travel mug, after the product was found to contain "chemicals exceeding the prescribed limits".

In a press release issued today, Ikea said the mug, marked “Made in India” and came in beige, green, pink and blue, was sold here in August and October last year.

"Recent test reports showed that the product may migrate levels of chemicals exceeding the prescribed limits." the statement read.

Ikea added that customers that had bought the travel mug to return the product to any Ikea store for a full refund.

"All Ikea product types were continuously tested and shall comply with applicable standards and legislation, as well as IKEA own requirements." it said.
