KUALA LUMPUR: The members of popular K-Pop group BlackPink finally greeted their Korean fans after nine months during the recent 2019 Private Stage (Chapter 1) event at the Olympic Hall in Seoul's Olympic Park.
According to Koreaboo, Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa had put on a great show for their fans, dubbed Blinks.
But what got everyone more excited was the part where they revealed that they were currently working on new music.
Although the quartet did not divulge any further details, they promised fans that it would be something amazing.
The girls added that they would make sure to repay all the love they had received so far with music that would hopefully be loved by the Blinks as well.
The red hot international group, which is managed by YG Entertainment, has so far released an album and three EPs since debuting in 2016.
The special event was held in conjunction with the K-Pop outfit’s third debut anniversary where the girls continuously thanked their fans.
The four expressed how grateful and happy they were for the response of Korean fans who came to the gathering, as well as the international fans who have been very welcoming.
As of 2019, BlackPink is apparently the highest-charting female K-Pop act on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts, peaking at No. 41 and No.24 respectively, for its latest single, Kill This Love.
The song’s music video has so far garnered over 593 million views on YouTube, while BlackPink’s previous single, Ddu-Du Ddu-Du, has more than 958 million views on the same platform.
The comely quartet has been tirelessly performing in its successful Blackpink (In Your Area) world tour which kicked off in Nov 2018. After last July’s concert in Bangkok, Thailand the music outfit will later continue the tour with four shows around Japan from December to Feb 2020.
