Guardian's 'most voted brands' award is back

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 -- Guardian Malaysia shoppers will have the opportunity to vote once again for their favourite health and beauty brands, and stand to win prizes worth up to RM40,000.
Its Marketing and Promotions head, Wong Vai Chi said this year’s Most Voted Brands would feature 313 products from the extensive selection of brands found in the store.
“A total of 313 products and 139 brands will be vying for 73 category awards which will make this year’s contest as competitive as ever,” she said at the media launch, today.
Wong said, the objective of the contest was to connect millions of shoppers to Guardian Malaysia’s business partners and brand owners by having them vote their favourite brands.
The annual brand appreciation contest, now into its 20th year starts today and will be on until Sept 29.
She said, as the votes were from customers who actually buy and use the products, it would provide brand owners an unbiased evaluation of where their brand stands.
“Reflecting the digital lifestyle of the majority of today’s consumers, the voting process will be conducted entirely in digital format. This means, all voting will be done online,” she added.
As an added bonus, this year, customers may also enter the MBV Hunt in all Guardian stores by scanning the QR code or entering mvb19.guardian.com.my into their browser, to get a product voucher after voting.
To qualify for the online vote, customers need only spend a minimum of RM10 in a single receipt.
