PETALING JAYA: Samirah Muzaffar, the wife of the late Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Nazrin Hassan has been released Thursday (Sept 13).
When contacted, Samirah's counsel LS Leonard confirmed that she was released at around 9pm.
Leonard said he was glad that things had finally come to an end and hoped that Samirah and her family could carry on with their normal routine.
Nazrin, 43, was found dead after being trapped in a fire on the upper floor of his house in Mutiara Damansara on June 14.
Early last month, police reclassified the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code following a forensic investigation by the Fire and Rescue Department.
On Sept 4, police obtained a seven-day remand order against Samirah and her ex-husband.
He was later released but her remand was extended until Sept 13.
Two teenagers were picked up on Sept 8 in connection with the case and remanded for seven days but the Shah Alam High Court ruled that their detention was not justified and ordered their release on Wednesday (Sept 12).
