A spread of delicious Southeast Asia flavours

Fly to food paradise. That’s what you can expect when you go for a Ramadan buffet at Sama-Sama Hotel KL International Airport. Guests dining in are guaranteed to be well fed with a wide variety of food and you will never find a dull second while you are there.

This year the Ramadan buffet has been themed as “Gerbang Pesona Malaysia”. The hotel’s grand ballroom has been decked with decorations inspired by some of the country’s most iconic architecture structures. The Instaworthy wall-to-wall 2D pop background decorations are sure to keep diners entertained.

Commenting on this year’s theme, Sama- Sama Hotel KL General Manager, Sundra Kulendra says that the hotel wishes to create beautiful memories for their guests to remember by.

"It's in our brand promise to provide a meaningful connection with our guests as we strive to give them our best.

"The waterfall garden is one of our ways to give our guests an in-house oasis where they can have that intimate buka puasa with their family and friends on top of a large wooden deck overlooking the man-made pond with a background of a soothing sound of overlapping water," he said.

The main highlight for this year Ramadan buffet is still the food. Headed by Executive Chef Ahmad Farhan Noorzali, an array of dishes based on Malaysia’s melting pot of culture has been prepared.

Guests are recommended to try signature dishes such as the Malaysia Gulai Lemak Siput Sedut, Singapore Hainan Chicken Rice, Indonesian Nasi Ambang, Taiwanese Osyter Omelette, Stir Fried Dried Chili Century Eggs, Filipino Beef Kaldereta and Thailand Roasted Duck Curry (Kaeng Phed Ped Yang).

And it does not just stop there. The hotel’s talented pastry team has also prepared Malaysian desserts such as ais kacang, cendol, apam balik and many more for diners to devour.

If you are craving for some traditional Malaysian fruit such as Durian, look no further as there will also be freshly peeled Durians that you could enjoy to your heart’s desire.

Perhaps the best thing about this year Ramadan buffet is the Mother’s Day special on 12 May. Dining guests who are a mother will be presented with a Tulip that is specially flown from the Netherlands. This is a part of the Hotel's continuous initiative charity support of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad together with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

The Buka Puasa buffet is available throughout the Ramadan season from 6 p.m.  to 10 p.m. Priced at RM105 nett per person for early bird and RM145 nett per person at normal price, the culinary brigade at the hotel also offers group bookings of 50 persons and above for the Ramadan banquet.
